Split ends, hair loss or brittle hair – How can you prevent it?

Your hair is your crowning glory and the one of your best accessories. We all suffer from bad hair days but if your hair is damaged, you may find yourself suffering from them more often.

The 3 most common factors that cause our hair to look unhealthily are: split ends, hair loss and brittle hair.

Firstly, let’s discuss what split ends are. Split ends are when a single strand of hair splits into two at the tip. In severe cases, in may split into multiple ends. This will cause your hair to become brittle and break off, making it difficult to grow your hair.
Why do you have split ends? Most likely because your hair is under stress. Which may be caused by hot tools, chemicals and styling.

So, how do you prevent causing damage to your hair? Here are some tips that will help!

Take a holiday from hot tools: If you are finding a lot of split ends and your hair is dry and brittle, try to detox from flat irons, curling wands and blow dryers. Hot tools will remove the moisture from your hair, which will lead to split ends and breakage.

Helpful Tip: If you are addicted to styling your hair with curling & flat irons (we totally understand 😊), why not get a set of our EDEN Clip Ins which can be styled and curled. This way, you can apply heat to your EDENS and very briefly curl your hair own. This has been a secret used by celebrities for years.

Say no no no no no to chemicals: Bleaches, dyes and toners will wreak havoc with the natural composition of your own hair. Chemicals will dry your hair and even end up changing the texture from silky to rough and course; which will lead to tangling and breakage.

Helpful Tip: Instead of dying your own hair, add pops of colour with EDEN Tape Extensions or our Ombre Clip In range. This is the perfect way to add dimension and colour to your hair, whilst ensuring your natural locks remain healthy and soft.

Bed head: If you’re noticing breakage at the back of your head, this can be caused by cotton pillowcase. Cotton pillowcases will cause friction with your hair, leading to split ends and breakage.

Helpful tip: Instead, opt-in for a silk pillowcase or braid your hair in a loose braid before going to bed.

If you follow these tips, we are assured that your hair will come back to life! If want to expedite the process and have your dream hair today, remember we are always here to help. Check out our range of EDEN extensions and email us at hello@edenhairextensions.com.au with any questions you have. We would love to hear from you.
Have a great day!

Love,
EDEN
