How to take care of your Eden Russian Tapes

What is the saying…. love is like a plant? It needs to be fed, watered and nourished?!

We would like to say the same about hair extensions! The more love, time and nourishment (in this case conditioner 😊) they receive, the longer they will show your hair love and have you looking fabulous around the clock.eden russian tapes

So, how do you take care of your Eden Russian Tape Extensions you may ask?

Here are some amazing tips and tricks to keep your Eden Russian Tape Extensions looking amazing for many months & years (if show them lots of love)!

Although, Eden Russian Tapes are the highest quality available, like all good relationships they still need some TLC on the daily. Every day, gently brush them and ensure that they are kept clean and moisturised.

As extensions do not produce oils, like our own hair, we like to use a sulphite free conditioning spray or serum whenever we notice that our extensions may seem a bit dry. When using conditioners or oils please avoid any contact with the tape adhesive and focus on the ends of the extensions.

When brushing our tape extensions, we like to ensure that we brush them from the bottom up; always holding the bonds if there are any tangles. We like to use a wide tooth comb to brush all our extensions. Also, we avoid brushing our Eden Russian Tape Extensions when they are wet.

Before going to bed we like to braid our tape extensions into a loose braid. We recommend avoiding, at all possible, going to bed with wet extensions. Never mind the yuck feeling of sleeping on a soggy pillow, it may cause unnecessary friction and rubbing of the extensions; which can lead to tangling.

A little hairdressing hack!

Before seeing a stylist, use a clarifying shampoo on your hair. This will ensure that any excess oils or dirt will be removed and allow for the adhesive to grip firmly to your hair, lasting you longer.

You know the drill ladies! Always use a heat protectant spray on your extensions when styling with hot tools or straighteners. We also recommend applying this rule of thumb to your own hair as well.

When using hot tools, we recommend not using them on the tabs. This will melt the tabs and the adhesive. It’s a non-Bueno move (translation: not a good move) 😊.

When conditioning our Eden’s, we only use conditioner from the mid-shaft to the ends. Try to avoid washing your scalp directly with conditioner.

Lastly, show your Eden Russian Tapes lots of love and they will reciprocate for up to 12 months or more!

Unlike other extensions, Eden Russian Tapes are not interested in a short-term fling but want that lasting hair romance!
